It is about the Italian-American gang "The Wanderers" who fight off the Fordham Baldies, the Ducky Boys, the Wongs and the Del Bombers. The film is as much comedy as it is high school movie and tragedy. It is marked by the classic rock and roll soundtrack with songs like "Walk Like a Man," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "My Boyfriend's Back." The focus is on a football game between rival gangs to defend not only their territories, but also their honor, which eventually ends in a mass brawl. This film is a nostalgic look back at times gone by and a great rock'n'roll retrospective on a fantastic era of music!
