Schmiere takes flight
It was in 2009 - two years after the denim label Rumble59 was founded - that the next big idea came to the back of our mind. What characterizes a proper greaser besides his turned-up trousers and rebellious attitude? That's right: the greasy hair. Combed back tightly, loosely styled into a quiff or artfully styled into a pompadour. Schmiere was born! The first step was to research suitable fragrances, try out consistencies and decide on colors. Once the first three varieties - soft, medium and hard - had been approved, it was time for the external appearance. True to the Rumble59 motto “cool with recognition value”, the raven with black, smooth plumage became the trademark of the new pomade and was able to collect swarms of fans in the following years.
After further degrees of hardness, a whole arsenal of fragrances and lots of varieties, Schmiere became a collector's item thanks to its mascot, regardless of its undisputed benefits. The raven with its greasy plumage not only adorns pomade, but also beard care products, for example. For the water-based pomades, he even got company from colorful feathered relatives from the south - parrots complement the otherwise dark “corvidae”.
Schmiere is available for every plumage
Every raven has different plumage. In some, the feathers lay down almost by themselves, in others they stick out in all directions like after a drunken crash landing in a pile of chickens. That's why Schmiere is available in different degrees of hardness. After all, everyone has the right to a handsome quiff. Looking for a change from the standard? The Schmiere range is impressive proof of the tireless hard work and creativity of our feathered hair experts. Available in chic and bulging tins, they give you the opportunity to gain new experiences in application, hardness levels and, of course, fragrances. A little tip on the side: we recommend our combs to keep your styled feathers in good shape. But it's not just the head of hair that needs grooming - fortunately, the raven also poaches in other areas. Beard care products such as shaving soap, aftershave and beard oil are one of the results of his conquests. His likeness looks down mischievously from the vintage labels; sometimes with and sometimes without beard - just as he likes it.
